PROJECT COORDINATOR

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to support the Commercial Estimator with bid requirements, and communications with trades and suppliers

  • Complete quantitative take-offs as required

  • Assist with the procurement/approvals for permits and other government regulations

  • Once awarded project: engage subtrades & suppliers, provide letter of intent and contracts, responsible for ensuring compliance on WSIB, General Liability insurance and other certificates

  • Manage all aspects of shop drawings

  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager, complete project schedules and coordinate with all trades, suppliers, and related parties as needed 

  • Manage all process flow as it pertains to NCC, CO and site instructions

  • Prepare and finalize all aspects of the schedule of value requirements through to receipt of payment and distributions. 

  • Oversee, manage, and ensure timeliness of all process flow throughout the project

  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and updated with a high degree of timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism

  • Complete all projects close out requirements 

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Construction projects

  • Uphold and encourage Woodhouse Group internal policies and procedures

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • C.E.T. 

  • A minimum of 2 years proven experience in same or similar role

  • Thorough knowledge of the building code as it pertains to commercial, and multiple residential dwellings 

  • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, and oral/written communication skills 

  • Ability to foster teamwork and work cooperatively and efficiently with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions in the interest of organizational effectiveness

  • Understand and promote ethical behaviour and business practices to ensure that the behaviours of all staff is consistent with these standards and aligns with our organizations core values

  • High level of proficiency in the use of computers for scheduling software, Microsoft suite, the internet and smartphone applications

  • Ability to take on additional tasks as assigned 

GENERAL CARPENTER - INTERIOR FINISHES

Responsibilities:

  • Rough interior framing

  • Complete installation of trims, doors and associated hardware

  • Able to complete drywall repairs including insulation & vapour barrier

  • Experience in painting and minor flooring installation considered an asset

  • Consistently ensure quality workmanship

  • Ability to lead a crew and ensure efficiency within the team, in conjunction with OHSA requirements

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of residential and commercial environments

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid "G" class driver's license

  • Insurable driving record

  • Clean criminal record

  • Basic personal carpentry tools

COMMERCIAL SITE SUPERVISOR - GENERAL CARPENTER

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in conjunction with Project Coordinator

  • Ability to complete various construction tasks- basic carpentry, drywall, demolition, etc.

  • Supervise, schedule and manage subcontractors and production staff as required

  • Consult blueprints, designs and client instructions for project plans

  • Ensure all elements of Health & Safety are implemented to maintain compliance

  • Complete required administrative functions essential to the project(s)

  • Ability to lead project and ensure efficiency within project team

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of commercial, institutional and multi-residential environments

  • Uphold and promote Woodhouse Group internal policies and procedures

  • Represent our brand with the professionalism that our clients expect and deserve

  • Available to work scheduled after hours shifts in order to meet the needs of our clients

  • Mobilize and support our after-hours response team, including availability as required during times of high volume / catastrophe situations

  • Ability to take on additional tasks as assigned

CARPENTER

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Responsibilities: 

  • Consistently ensure quality workmanship

  • Ability to lead a crew and ensure efficiency within the team

  • Complete required paperwork related to the job function

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of residential and commercial environments

  • Represent our brand with professionalism that our customers expect and deserve

  • Prepared to work scheduled after hours shifts in order to meet customers’ needs

  • Available to respond to urgent needs after hours

 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Valid "G" class driver's license

CARPENTER HELPER

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Responsibilities: 

  • Able to take direction and apply it to the relative job functions

  • Consistently ensure quality workmanship

  • Complete demolition with little direction

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of residential and commercial environments

  • Represent our brand with professionalism that our customers expect and deserve

  • Prepared to work scheduled after hours shifts in order to meet customers’ needs

  • Available to respond to urgent needs after hours

 

Requirements: 

  • Valid "G" class driver's license

  • Acceptable driving record

  • Clean criminal record

  • Basic personal carpentry tools
