Like many businesses the Woodhouse Group has been sustainable long before we actually knew what sustainable was. Conservation, re-purposing materials, to know that as a contractor that less waste simply makes you a more diligent and responsible contractor. These are not things that we just randomly do. Sustainability is who we are at our core, respecting the office and work site environments to ensure that our policies are at work every day, reducing our footprint, broadening our knowledge with each employee actively contributing.
Confirmation of these statements can be witnessed through our investments in our solar power projects in both Kitchener and Ayr. The re-purposing of old buildings in our Real Estate portfolio, a former Co-op building into a business and property. Prior to that, converting an old rope storage facility in Kitchener’s one-time manufacturing core that resulted in attracting recreational sport and athletic leaseholders to maximize the original design of the space.
So you see, we are not sustainably cool or trendy. We have just simply been who we are, fundamentally sustainable!
